Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Shared Services IT (Jamaica) team in the capacity of: Support Analyst (6-Month Contract)
 
May be required to work outside of normal business hours and on weekends.
Location: Kingston
 
As a Support Analyst, you will:
  • Provide second-level support across multiple applications and processes, including technical and functional support, system analysis, problem solving, ability to provide recommended solutions and implementation plans.
  • Perform integration link failure analysis by isolating, replicating, reporting defects and verifying defect fixes.
  • Research, analyze and resolve problems related to supported systems, identify process and procedure issues, and work with extended team and affected departments for resolutions.
  • Assist users with questions and issues pertaining to the application of software; resolve support requests, troubleshoot issues, replicate scenarios for developers to address.
  • Research and assist with data issue resolution by researching and resolving functional and navigation issues.
  • Create direct channels of communication to software and application developers.
  • Escalate unresolved application issues to 3rd Level support in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with software vendors to ensure timely installations and problem resolutions.
  • Assist in the deployment and monitoring of application patches and updates.
  • Maintain user-friendly process documentation, including operational procedures, system procedures, topology diagrams, workflow diagrams, and security requirements.
  • Report on user support occurrences with Lead Support/ Manager.
  • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
 
What do you need?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ working experience as an Application/ Support Analyst.
  • Ability to visualize, articulate, conceptualize or solve both complex and uncomplicated problems.
  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Good understanding of current applications and trends in Management Information System (MIS) technology.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience with insurance products would be an asset.
