Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Business Optimization and Systems Control team in the capacity of: Process Analyst
- Work alongside the business process Improvement initiatives within the Sagicor Group.
- Apply business process improvements and reengineering methodologies and principles to define, document and improve processes.
- Provide input for process improvement initiatives:
- Assist in identifying processes/ activities that may require automation and/ or reengineering.
- Identify processes which can be improved through the use of enabling technology.
- Identify, analyze and document business problems & opportunities.
- Assess existing process flows for service, cost and operational inefficiencies.
- Assist in simulated testing to validate process improvement.
- Perform analysis of business data (i.e. variance analysis and trend analysis).
- Compile summary reports including charts, graphs and tables.
- Assist with the development of the transition plan and provide input to business case development for process changes.
- Capture and document existing (As-Is) critical process flows and submit to manager for review.
- Produce recommendations for (To-Be) process flows and document efficiencies to be gained if implemented.
- Prepare cost-benefit analysis for recommended changes.
- Design To-Be process flows to remove non-value-added activities and improve processes.
- Identify and highlight gaps between the As-Is and To-Be process for procedure amendment.
- Provide guidance and support to process owners during the implementation of process improvements.
- Assist units in developing metrics to drive the successful implementation of business process improvement initiatives.
- Assist units in developing/ documenting business rules which will drive process/ workflow automation.
- Participate in related systems development efforts as needed to provide input and contribute to a comprehensive development strategy.
- Maintain a repository of all the business process maps for critical processes.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Studies, or relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum three years (3) years’ working experience in business analysis, process improvements, and workflow documentation, preferably in a financial institution.
- Formal training in the tools for process improvement would be an asset.
- Excellent interviewing and facilitation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Results-oriented, good time management, and ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Visio, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications.
- Knowledge of company core systems would be an asset.
