Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Treasury Operations team in the capacity of: Business Support Associate - Sigma (Contract)
- Provide support to the Client Relationship Officers in all branches in the processing of subscriptions to Sigma Global Unit Trust.
- Process retail client deposits, including RTGS transfers, ACH transfers, incoming wires, new account deposits and Sigma Gift Certificate deposits.
- Process incoming RTGS, wire transfers and ACH transfers within the stipulated timeframe following the deposit in the bank account.
- Process ACH transfers upon receipt of originator verification from Sagicor Bank Proof department.
- Process incoming transfers from transact and Centralized Business Support department within the stipulated timeframe following the deposit in the bank account.
- Process deposits for new Sigma accounts upon receipt of notification from Wealth Advisors or Client Relationship Officers
- Process Sigma gift certificate subscriptions and general ledger entries following the deposit in the bank account.
- Follow-up with Wealth Advisors/ Client Relationship Officers for outstanding fund allocation instructions from clients.
- Assist the Financial Control team with the clearing of reconciliation items from the bank account.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Finance, Management Studies, or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in investment banking.
- At least two (2) years’ working experience in an operational position.
- Completion of the Jamaica Central Securities Depository (JCSD) Course.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software packages including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Unit Trust functions would be an asset.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
