Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Business Optimization and Systems Control team in the capacity of: Operations Risk Review Associate
- Provide assistance in coordinating the day-to-day activities on all client risk and suspected fraud issues for Insurance Operations Services.
- Review, investigate and resolve client complaints or reports received that are contrary to the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Support Operations Monitoring & Control in the administrative framework for regulatory compliance and controls in accordance with the guiding principle governing the financial sector along with the company’s code of business conduct and ethics.
- Assist in coordinating the activities relating to allegations made by clients with regards to any suspected fraudulent misconduct.
- Review, investigate and discuss complaints from clients with the referring area.
- Liaise with applicable stakeholders in instances of misappropriation or fraud.
- Compile all supporting formal documentation regarding findings of any investigation or allegations made by a client and submit reports to the relevant department.
- Follow-up to ensure closure and/ or resolution of the complaint.
- Assist in maintaining records related to fraud cases.
- Monitor Sales Representatives’ activities on an ongoing basis:
- Monitor Advisors including those on the watch list for any irregularities and submit the findings to the Officer.
- Conduct random receipt book audits on Advisors from each Branch and Broker/ Agency by requesting receipt books currently in-use.
- Follow up with all branches and brokers/ agencies to submit their quarterly receipt book audit report.
- Compile information from audits conducted and prepare quarterly reports to department.
- Maintain log of lost/ stolen receipt books.
- Assist in conducting Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for medium and high risk-rated insurance clients.
- Provide support in monitoring the client complaint register/ portal.
- Assist with presentations as needed or necessary.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Business Studies or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in the life insurance industry.
- LOMA certification would be an asset.
- Completion of certified industry courses would be an asset.
- Strong creativity and analytical skills.
- Detailed oriented and a great deal of urgency.
- Excellent oral, written communication and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and productivity tools.
- Dynamic, self-motivated and performance-driven outlook.
- Sound knowledge of the requirements of the regulatory bodies in Jamaica and Cayman Islands.
