Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Business Development and Policy Services team in the capacity of: Group Benefits and Reinstatement Associate
Location: Kingston
 
As a Group Benefits and Reinstatement Associate, you will:
  • Have responsibility for accurately setting up of calculation codes on the operating system (GIAS) and input changes to the benefit schedules.
  • Provide effective and efficient service to our clients through reinstating policies without and with evidence of insurability from internal and external clients.
  • Recommend/ take corrective action when anomalies are identified to ensure client satisfaction and the achievement of the department’s goals and objectives.
  • Input the relevant calculation codes based on the approved schedule of benefits for all new or renewed cases including any changes submitted during the contract year, or from the Claims department based on errors reported.
  • Set up new groups on the operating system.
  • Test new codes to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Add new accounts, products and plans for existing groups to the operating system (GIAS) as requested to ensure accurate generation of health cards.
  • Process reinstatement of policies with and without evidence of insurability from internal and external clients.
  • Prepare a monthly activity report for submission to the Team Lead.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
  • Minimum of an associate degree in Business Administration or other related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of the LOMA (Parts 1 and 2) or HIA designations.
  • At least three (3) years working experience in employee benefits administration.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of GIAS, AIS & CAPSIL systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with great accuracy.
  • Good time management skills.
