Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Finance team in the capacity of: Finance Administrator
Location: Kingston
As a Finance Administrator, you will:
Provide general administrative support to the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Group Finance and Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
Provide administrative support to the Executive Vice President – Group Finance/ Group Chief Financial Officer:
Prepare correspondence and send out correspondence as directed.
Create and maintain an accurate filing system for easy retrieval of documents.
Receive and direct incoming calls and visitors as required.
Coordinate all Chief Finance Officer (CFO’s) appointments and deadlines inclusive of creating agendas, circulating documents and communicating key dates to ensure smooth execution.
Liaise/ follow up with executive and senior management of the Group & it’s subsidiaries regarding key company matters/ deliverables as directed.
Arrange travel for members of the Group Finance team when necessary.
Administer the Chief Finance Officer (CFO’s) business credit card expense approvals.
Assist with monitoring Group Finance’s metrics.
Assist with monitoring the bank accounts and business credit cards of the Group.
Liaise with and assist auditors in the preparation and follow-up processes to ensure that confirmations are dispatched and received by the specified deadlines.
Ensure that audited financial statements & finance-related Sagicor press releases are appropriately published.
Ensure that draft audited financial statements are populated as directed.
Ensure that finance reports/ presentations are submitted within the required time frame.
Administer the CFO’s approvals of expenditure.
Assist with the formulation and coordination of team activities for the Group Finance team including organizing team building events.
Oversee the administrative support being provided to Group Finance.
Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies or relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
At least five (5) years working experience as an Administrator.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Excellent human relations skills.
Ability to produce reports.
Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to work in a demanding environment and to be able to meet strict deadlines.
Attention to detail.
