Position Overview:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Wander, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth by identifying and nurturing potential clients. Your primary focus will be on cold calling and pitching, occupying at least 50% of your daily activities. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients, responsible for ensuring a smooth hand-off to our Account Executives (AEs), maintaining engagement throughout the process, and ensuring timely follow-ups. This role offers a high commission potential for securing high-quality, “10/10” homes, making it a vital part of our sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cold Calling and Pitching
- Thorough Discovery Process
- Scheduling and Coordination:
- Schedule Deep Dive meetings, adding calls for all parties to calendars with video conferencing links
- Ensure all parties accept invites and follow up to confirm availability
- Introduce AEs to owners/prospects via email
- Meeting Participation and Documentation:
- Attend Deep Dive meetings, take detailed notes, and review call recordings for continuous learning
- Create projections and capex requirements ahead of each call
- Review calls with leadership for additional coaching
- Send a call summary to all parties along with relevant documents
- Follow-Up:
- Maintain open lines of communication, ensuring follow-ups if there’s a period of no contact
- Schedule and attend contract review calls, adding to calendars with video conference links
- Send summaries and follow up after a week if contracts remain unsigned
Qualifications:
- Must be Jamaica Based
- Must have a professional work set-up with high speed internet
- Proven experience in a sales or business development role, preferably within the travel or real estate industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently
- Proficient in using CRM software, Google Docs, and Zoom
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
