Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Project Management team in the capacity of: Project Manager
Location: Kingston
As A Project Manager, you will:
Manage the assigned multi-functional and technical projects undertaken based on Sagicor’s strategic objectives.
Plan, manage and ensure that projects are completed successfully within time, quality, cost and scope.This involves the use of leading project management principles to effectively manage the business and technical project team(s).
Develop Project Management Plans and Charters, coordinate, make recommendations, estimation of project scope, quality, time, cost and risk considerations.
Manage the project resources (technology, people, budget) and change for assigned projects on a day-to-day basis in order to achieve goals and targets.
Ensure requirements and deliverables are well-defined, clearly communicated and documented.
Recommend implementation strategies and develop plans for seamless implementation in the production environment.
Ensure all Project Documents are approved by the relevant stakeholders.
Implement activities to ensure that that the tasks defined are properly assessed to identify the resource requirements and timelines for completion.
Manage Project Budget and Forecasts ensuring they are duly documented and maintained weekly.
Provide ongoing support, communication and assistance in the assessment and tracking of project products to ensure desired outcomes and benefits are achieved.
Clearly define project teams’ roles and responsibilities, secure project resources and anchor ownership of deliverables with Resource Managers.
Supervise project-related team members to ensure that they are working efficiently to meet their deliverables.
Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies, Computer Science, or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
Possess Project Management Professional or Agile Certification would be an asset OR a minimum of 32 hours of formal training in the field of Project Management.
A minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in Project Management.
Knowledge of Banking and Financial products and the business environment.
Experience in managing technical projects.
Abreast of emerging market technologies.
Experience in the use of Project Management Tools and illustrative software.
Good leadership skills
