Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our team in the capacity of:
Contractor – Nurse Practitioner
Location: Kingston
This role requires:
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to various client environments.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours, weekends, and holidays.
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive head- to-toe physical examinations and routine health assessments for patients.
- Make general diagnoses and refer clients, where necessary, for follow-up care.
- Conduct patient interviews and give a plan of care (referrals or advice) to each patient seen.
- Actively engage in corporate wellness screening events, working collaboratively with the practical nurses to ensure comprehensive health assessments.
- Provide leadership and guidance in the wellness screening ensuring thorough and efficient care for clients and patients being seen.
- Accurately record health data of each patient seen, their diagnosis and the recommendation provided.
- Conduct any other tests offered by the Mobile Wellness unit as well as other duties assigned by the Wellness Officer and/ or Manager.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Masters of Science in Nursing; Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Mid-wifery training would be an asset.
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare or corporate wellness setting.
- Experience working collaboratively with practical nurses and other health care facilities.
- Current employment in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Be current with recommended refresher training courses for Nurse Practitioners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Knowledge of workplace wellness programs and health promotion.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong customer service skills.
- High level of confidentiality and flexibility.
- Ability to use basic digital tools to capture and report data.
