Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Marketing team in the capacity of: Marketing Officer – Sagicor Foundation
- Have responsibility for the coordination and implementing Sagicor Foundation’s activities according to company strategy.
- Select partnership and sponsorship opportunities based on objectives and the Foundation’s policy.
- Ensure the Foundation has a positive impact on local communities while raising awareness of the Foundation’s efforts through special events.
- Ensure that the overall corporate image of Sagicor and its subsidiaries are always maintained.
- Develop and implement Foundation strategies and plans with accompanying budgets, to achieve objectives in keeping with the overall company strategy.
- Evaluate and implement Foundation opportunities consistent with the Group’s products, services and clientele,
- Prepare and present monthly reports to the Board of Sagicor Foundation.
- Monitor local and international market trends and give recommendations where necessary.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Foundation beneficiaries and continuously evaluate these relationships to ensure fair value for the company.
- Ensure that all Foundation events and projects are executed at a high level and consistent with brand standards.
- Ensure development and growth of the Foundation’s social media.
- Manage Sigma Run fund raising initiatives.
- Assist with the planning and execution of the annual Sigma Run activities.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in marketing or related field.
- Experience in the financial services industry would be an asset.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
- Ability to meet multiple project deadlines.
- Demonstrate good attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the regulations governing charities and foundations.
- Ability to lead complicated multi-stakeholder planning processes and cross-team initiatives.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages, including spreadsheets, word processing, database management and graphics tools .
- Possess a valid Driver’s license and a reliable motor vehicle.
