Sagicor Property Services Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our team in the capacity of: Leasing Officer
Location: Kingston
As a Leasing Officer, you will:
Maintain and enhance the value of the real estate holdings through the proper management of rental and maintenance income of the portfolio.
Prepare and submit information to the internal Attorneys for the drafting of instructions for leases and licenses.
Monitor the Client Roll to identify rental or lease renewal dates and provide updates to the Assistant Manager. Process customer information, needs and complaints, resolve those within the authority of the job and refer others to the Assistant Manager for action:
Receive and log enquires from potential clients for follow up by Leasing Assistant.
Carry out preliminary assessment and background checks in accordance with established guidelines and maintain communication with the client up to the completion of the process.
Meet with prospective clients for site visits to properties being leased or rented.
Maintain the occupancy levels on an annual basis, based on the general market conditions.
Negotiate lease rates for new tenants and renewals with direct responsibility and support for the larger cases.
Liaise with the Legal Department, as required, for stamping or sealing of lease.
Prepare and present tenders for large tenants.
Identify and articulate space modifications required by clients.
Deliver quality client service according to Sagicor Bank Client Service Standards.
Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies, Marketing, Business studies or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
Real Estate License.
At least five (5) years’ working experience in sales and marketing of real estate.
Basic knowledge of Land Law and Contract Law.
High level of confidentiality.
Sound knowledge of product and services offered by Sagicor Property Services.
Sound knowledge of marketing principles and procedures.
Good customer service orientation skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Good time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
