Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operations Services – Corporate Administration team in the capacity of: Data Analyst
- Provide the business unit with the support necessary to facilitate improved business practices using technology.
- Produce and facilitate the production of reports that enhance the unit’s ability to provide excellent service to our Employee Benefits clients.
- Process all data files received from clients to ensure an error free load to the main software application.
- Lead formal and informal projects for user testing of upgrades and modifications to assigned software applications.
- Create procedure documentation.
- Review and take appropriate action to update or re-write when necessary.
- Provide technical support within Insurance Operation Services in the development of reports to enhance client service.
- Fulfil reporting requirements concerning assigned duties.
- Review current business practices/ procedures to ensure that the most efficient solution is realized.
- Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Studies or relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- At least three (3) years working experience in group insurance administration or similar capacity.
- Sound knowledge of office automation, IT techniques and practices and database management.
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in the use computer software packages such as spreadsheet applications.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
