We are seeking a suitable candidate to join our Branch Operations (Up Park Camp) team in the capacity of: Client Service Representative
Location: Kingston
As A Client Service Representative, you will:
- Greet and assist clients in a courteous, timely and efficient manner while delivering a high standard of professional service.
- Be effective and efficient in managing transactions and queries and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and in keeping with the bank’s service standards.
- Assist management with events that can deepen client loyalty and goodwill, as well as actively cross-sell the Group’s products and services to existing clients.
- Deliver quality client service by greeting and responding to clients promptly and courteously and completing transactions according to Sagicor Bank’s client service standards.
- Open new accounts for clients, namely savings accounts, current accounts, certificate of deposits.
- Initiate relevant documentation for the opening of all accounts in accordance with the Bank’s guidelines.
- Perform client verification as appropriate for each product.
- Ensure that all mandatory checks are completed to achieve Know Your Customer (KYC) and Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) requirements.
- Perform account maintenance functions such as the addition of names, update of dormant accounts, address changes, deceased clients.
- Process & issue ABM and credits cards according to policies & procedures and pin debit/ credit cards.
- Prepare Client request letters and Certification of balance.
- Close certificate of deposits and process Tax Exemption requests.
- Provide relief for Client Care Officer’s desk.
- Achieve assigned cross-sell and referral targets.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Studies or relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Formal training in customer service would be an asset.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a similar position.
- Experience in sales or selling techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of commercial banking operations functions would be an asset.
- Customer-centric with good interpersonal, communication and complaint handling skills.
- Knowledge of the bank’s systems and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
- Strong selling & negotiating and customer service skills.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
