Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Revenue Operations and Payments team in the capacity of: Cash Receipting Associate (Contract)
Location: Kingston
As a Cash Receipting Associate, you will:
- Collect client payments to update policy and group accounts.
- Ensure that collected payments across the various business lines are receipted to their intended accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
- Process payments on the relevant platforms and collect client deposits and other miscellaneous payments for life insurance policies, mortgage premiums, inter-company, and other miscellaneous payments.
- Update the appropriate records with payment tender types received.
- Identify anomalies with policy records being credited as well as the payment of mortgage accounts and take steps to resolve these issues promptly.
- Process E-Payments for employee benefits administration and pension team and coop deposits.
- Balance the daily cash reports with the lodgements and prepare documents and cash/ cheques for submission to the bank.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Minimum of an associate degree in Business Administration or other related field from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of the LOMA (Parts 1 and 2) or other industry related designation would be an asset.
- At least two (2) years working experience including one (1) year in the operations division of a life insurance company.
- Good human relations and time management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Working knowledge of insurance policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of accounting.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
