Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Premium Accounts team in the capacity of: Unidentified Suspense Assistant (Contract)
Location: Kingston
 
 
As an Unidentified Suspense Assistant, you will:
  • Process transfers and refund of payments from the Unidentified Suspense Account in an accurate and timely manner to ensure client satisfaction and the achievement of the Department’s goals and objectives.
  • Administer the unidentified suspense accounts:
  • Check computer records for client information.
    • Contact clients to verify payment received.
    • Apply money to policy number identified or refund as appropriate.
    • Prepare letters for clients/ deducting authorities advising them to discontinue payment to Sagicor and send letters with cheques to the clients/ companies.
    • Contact Financial Advisors to assist with the location of clients or allocation of payments.
  • Prepare journal vouchers, cheque requisitions or action forms as appropriate.
  • Perform any other related duties that may be assigned.
What do you need?
  • Minimum of six (6) CSEC general proficiency subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
  • LOMA (parts 1 and 2) or other industry related designations would be an asset.
  • At least two (2) years’ overall working experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year working experience in an operations division of a life insurance company.
  • Excellent human relations and time management skills.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies and processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
