Supervise the different activities that take place on a retail sales floor. They stay busy managing people and performing administrative tasks. The role of a floor supervisor is important in keeping a store running smoothly.
This document describes the work that should normally be done. It should be borne in mind that no frame of reference is in itself complete and the use of one’s initiative and discretion must always be a guiding factor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
Greet Customers entering store
Should arrive at work 20 – 30 minutes before opening hours
Ensure good customer service is maintained at all times.
Manage and resolve all customer challenges
Oversee all floor activities to include the paymaster.
Oversee all cashier activities (operations, float and check-off)
Assist in stock taking and inventory management
Monitor and maintain current inventory levels and conduct stock reconciliation
Effectively merchandise floor and create eye catching and effective displays.
Ensure all goods are correctly priced and well ticketed.
Coordinate with management team to ensure adequate staff coverage at all times
Ensure customer returns and exchanges are accurately completed.
Execute appropriate discounts to relevant customers and staff.
Assist store manager with general store operations
Delegate workload to sales associate and cashiers

Provide on the job training for all new hires
oversee purchasing/ request (stock maintenance)
Assist with customer’s complaints daily
Close cash registers at scheduled closing hour
Open and closing of store at scheduled hour
Ensure staff are knowledgeable of new product information.
Manage all social media activities at the store level
Perform staff evaluation/assessment as required
Ensure all policies and procedures are communicated to staff members in a timely manner
Provide department coverage based on the needs of the store.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions above, this position may be required to perform a combination of other supportive functions, to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of Fontana Limited.
Other:
In order to properly service our clients, you may be required to work outside of our scheduled business hours.
Timely execution of duties in keeping with pre-arranged schedule.

Job Requirement
EXPERIENCE; EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION
A minimum of Associate Degree in Business Administration
At least 4 years work experience at a management or supervisor level (Retail base a plus)
Certificate in Supervisory Management
Customer Service / Sales Training
Certificate in Computer Skills/Training (Microsoft Office Suite)
Firm knowledge in Paymaster and Bill-Express payment
High School Diploma
Knowledge of retail store operations will be an asset
