Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our IT & Data Security team in the capacity of: IT Risk and Compliance Officer
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place for the security of information assets.
- Play a key role in the review and development of policies, the implementation of internal IT controls and compliance improvement.
- Lead on or provide subject matter expertise in risk assessment exercises.
- Develop policies, procedures and standards that meet existing and newly developed policies and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitates and monitors performance of risk remediation tasks, changes related to risk mitigation & reports on findings.
- Maintains oversight of IT and vendors regarding the security maintenance of their systems, services and applications.
- Facilitate IT security/ risk training and awareness of applicable standards, risks and industry best practices.
- Serve as Project Lead and/ or subject matter expert on IT security projects.
- Compile monthly informational report of activities.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a Cyber Security equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Qualifications such as CRISC, CISA and/or CISSP/CISM would be an asset.
- Minimum three years’ working experience conducting IT compliance assessments.
- Minimum two years’ working experience in administering IT security controls in a corporate entity.
- Project management skills and/ or certification, would be an asset.
- Experience performing security reviews and risk assessments.
- Knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases and systems in relation to IT and/ or data security risks.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Excellent human relations skills.
- Ability to produce reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders, i.e. Senior Management.
