Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Corporate Banking team in the capacity of: H.E.A.R.T Trainee (1-Year Contract)
Location: Kingston
 
In partnership with HEART/NSTA TRUST, Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking candidates for the School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) specially designed to bridge the gap between school and the world of work for recent school leavers. Our School Leavers’ Training Opportunities Programme (SLTOP) is for school leavers between the ages of 17 to 23, who have six or more CSEC or GCE passes including English Language and Mathematics. In the SLTOP, trainees have the opportunity to work with Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited for up to one year, where they can fully acquaint themselves with the company’s daily operations in order to gain rich, immersive practical knowledge.
 
As a H.E.A.R.T Trainee, you will:
  • Interact daily with clients by phone and email.
  • Update Know Your Clients (KYC) information received for clients on both files and our core system.
  • Keep accurate electronic log of all Know Your Clients (KYC) updates.
  • Prepare and dispatch correspondence to clients.
  • Handle clients’ requests and contact clients to inform them of the status of their requests.
  • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
  • At least six (6) subjects at the GCE (Ordinary) or CSEC (General) level, including Mathematics and English Language.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the Customer Relations principles.
  • Sound knowledge of Sagicor products, services and operations.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong computer skills
