Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Treasury and Asset Management team in the capacity of: Group Treasury and Asset Management Operations Officer – Payments
Location: Kingston
 
 
As a Group Treasury and Asset Management Officer, you will:
  • Have responsibility for the daily efficient and effective monitoring and processing of payment related transactions on behalf of Sagicor Investments & Group Treasury and Asset Management.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the system data, ensuring that the transactions are properly executed and recorded as per relevant client instructions and internal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to and perform any other duties assigned.
  • Promote quality service standards by observing and delivering consistent quality service in compliance with service level agreements.
  • Process requests received for RTGS, ACH, outgoing and incoming wire transfers as well as Funds Transfers
  • Process foreign exchange trade transactions (purchases and sales).
  • Retrieve statements and process related transactions via BOA CashPro / CitiDirect.
  • Respond to clients’ queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reconcile related general ledger accounts and settlement accounts.
  • Provide support for system approvals of payments related transactions.
  • Complete monthly designated reports within stipulated deadlines.
  • Post entries for account funding as per instructions from Group Treasury and Asset Management, Sagicor Investments’ treasury team and/ or from the stockbrokerage team’s book to book transactions.
  • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, Management Studies or relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of one (2) years working experience in banking or operations within a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of investment banking functions would be an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently and in teams.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong team orientation.
  • Proficiency in the use of RTGS, ACH, T24 and SWIFT applications.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
