Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Treasury and Asset Management team in the capacity of: Group Treasury and Asset Management Operations Associate – Payments
Location: Kingston
As a Group Treasury and Asset Management Operations Associate, you will:
Provide first level processing for payment related transactions on behalf of Sagicor Investments & Group Treasury and Asset Management.
Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to and any other duties assigned.
Promote quality service standards by observing and delivering consistent quality service in compliance with service level agreements.
Post entries to respective accounts or general ledgers to facilitate the request on the platforms; T24 /I-T24 to enable processing of ACH, outgoing wire, incoming wire transfers and funds transfers.
Enter foreign exchange trade transactions (purchases and sales) and provide frequent updates to Sagicor Bank’s treasury team.
Disseminate incoming wire information to respective Client Representative Officer/ Advisor.
Respond to clients’ queries in a timely and efficient manner.
Review settlement accounts and general ledger throughout the day and ensure all reflecting a nil balance at the end of the day.
Provide support for system approvals of payments related transactions.
Post entries for account funding as per instructions from Group Treasury and Asset Management, Sagicor Investments’ treasury team and/ or from the stockbrokerage team’s book to book transactions.
Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
Associate’s Degree in Business Studies, Management Studies or a relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
Minimum of one (1) year working experience in banking or operations within a financial institution.
Knowledge of investment banking functions would be an asset.
Ability to work under pressure, independently and in teams.
Effective Interpersonal or communication skills.
Strong team orientation – cooperation, adaptability, proactive, initiative.
Proficiency in the use of RTGS, ACH, T24 and SWIFT applications
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using computer software packages, including the Microsoft Office Suite and, in particular, Microsoft Excel.
