Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
- Greet Customers entering store
- Should arrive at work 20 – 30 minutes before opening hours
- Delegate workload to sales associate and cashiers
- Training new floor staff
- Supervise staff members
- Assisting in other store operations
- Assist in stock taking and inventory management
- Assist with customers complaints daily
- Effectively merchandise your floor and create eye catching and effective displays.
- Select products for windows and liaise with Store Manager and Display personnel
- Ensure all goods are correctly priced and well ticketed.
- Ensure all customers are acknowledged and attended to
- Handle all customer complaints
- Close registers and store at scheduled closing hour
- Display leadership qualities for sales team to adapt
- Oversee all cashiers activities (operations, float and check-off)
- Continually reinforcing customer service and store policies with team members
- Ensure staffs are knowledgeable with new product information.
- Ensure staff is rostered to maximize sufficient floor coverage at all times.
- Coordinate with management team to ensure adequate managerial coverage at all times.
- Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, including reconciling stock counts to computer reports
- Ensure customer returns and exchanges are accurately completed.
- Execute appropriate discounts to relevant customers and staff.
- Ensure staff is rostered to maximize sufficient floor coverage at all times.
- Coordinate with management team to ensure adequate managerial coverage at all times.
- In addition to performance of the essential functions above, this position may be required to perform a combination of other supportive functions, to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of Fontana Limited.
- In order to properly service our clients, you may be required to work outside of our scheduled business hours.
- Timely execution of duties in keeping with pre-arranged schedule.
- Care and diligence in protecting the organization’s assets
Working Environment / Physical Activities:
- Considerable physical activity.
- May require long working hours.
- Work is normally performed in a typical open layout environment.
Job Requirement
EXPERIENCE; EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION
- A minimum of Associate Degree Bachelor’s Degree or it’s equivalent from a recognize tertiary institution
- At least 4 years work experience at a management or supervisor level (Retail base a plus)
- Certificate in Supervisory Management
- Customer Service / Sales Training
- Certificate in Computer Skills/Training (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Retail store management / supervision
- Knowledge and ability to train new hires
- Knowledge of in-store operations
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services
- Must have good communication skills
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering to maintain stock and inventory management
- Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
- Database management skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate (verbal, listening, writing) and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations is essential.
- Must be detailed oriented and a multitasker with superb organizational skills
- Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
