Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Corporate Banking team in the capacity of: Corporate Banking Support Officer
Location: Kingston
 
As a Corporate Banking Support Officer, you will:
 
  • Provide assistance to the Senior Vice President - Corporate Banking, SME Business Banking and Strategic Business Development Unit of Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited.
  • Take and reproduce minutes of meetings, liaise with all Branch Managers, Regional Managers, Department Heads, staff and external clients.
  • Compile statistical reports and update project documentation.
  • Play a major role in the administrative activities of the Senior Vice President of Corporate Banking, SME Business
  • Banking & Strategic Business Development:
    • Organize and/ or schedule regional and other meetings, both on location and off-site.
    • Maintain the diaries/ calendars daily and schedule appointments/ meetings as required.
    • Draft memos, letters, reports, and other documents on a daily/ weekly/ monthly and/ or quarterly basis.
  • Prepare upon demand reports including but not limited to unit reviews, board reports, weekly or quarterly unit performance reports.
  • Prepare and/ or update project and strategic plans.
  • Provide information for reports and records through research, data retrieval, compile and/ or tabulate statistics, and organize and present the information in a format that is understandable.
  • Prepare minutes for meeting for Corporate Banking, SME Business Banking and Strategic Business Development departments.
  • Read and re-route incoming correspondence with due regard to confidentiality.
  • Prepare payments and maintain control sheets for company paid memberships in social and professional organizations.
  • Process entertainment and club subscriptions for all Executives.
  • Assist with a training plan for the relevant departments.
  • Escalate complaints once deemed high priority or urgent.
  • Direct or route client complaints to the appropriate Team Lead for assistance and resolution.
  • Maintain a log of all complaints escalated to the Senior Vice President for resolution.
  • Assist with planning and executing initiatives for SME Business Banking and the Strategic Business Development units.
  • Develop plans and strategies to improve sales and service delivery.
    Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least four (4) years’ working experience as a secretary would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the operations within the banking/ financial sector and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good analytical and team skills.
  • Ability to produce reports.
  • Knowledge of computer software applications including word processing, PowerPoint and/ or Prezi and spreadsheet applications.
