Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operation Services – Premium Accounts team in the capacity of: CO-OP Lead
Location: Kingston
 
 
As a CO-OP Lead, you will:
  • Plan, organize and direct the activities of the CO-OP Unit to ensure the accurate application of funds and the efficient and effective service to clients.
  • Investigate co-op balances when required.
  • Update information relating to Co-op payments (salary deducted payments for organizations) on excel spreadsheet within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Review and approve/ input journal vouchers and cheque requisitions daily.
  • Generate the automated Cayman/ Jamaican salary deduction files for distribution to Co-op
  • Processors and advise Supervisor/Team Leader as soon as file is received and distributed.
  • Provide counselling/ direction to the team and arbitrate disputes arising in the unit.
  • Create or delete salary deduction cases as required.
  • Adjust Co-op name and number on all receipts lodged incorrectly and make the relevant correction
  • Assist with applying Sagicor Co-ops and Cayman staff payments.
  • Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Business Administration or related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of LOMA (parts 1 and 2) or other industry related designation would be an asset.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ working experience within the insurance industry.
  • Excellent attitude to service and teamwork.
  • Sound knowledge of life insurance products and processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Sound human relations skills.
  • Good listening, problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
