Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our team in the capacity of: Assistant Manager – Branch Operations (Duke & Tower Street)
Location: Kingston
As an Assistant Manager – Branch Operations, you will:
- Manage and lead the Branch Operations team in delivering a superior client experience.
- Champion client experience by proactively engaging and interacting with clients throughout the branch.
- Lead activities to improve client loyalty results across the entire branch team.
- Develops relationships with service partners to ensure efficient operations of the branch and optimal client satisfaction.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to services team, ensuring a high level of team aptitude and engagement.
- Actively market/ promote the Bank’s products & services to obtain referrals.
- Monitor the timely processing of incoming client correspondence.
- Develop plans and strategies in collaboration with the Branch Manager and Manager - Client Experience to improve service delivery.
- Conduct compliance monitoring according to operational guidelines.
- Monitor and balance reconcilable accounts/ ledgers.
- Review and submit the relevant reports (TTRs/STRs/UTRs) to the Compliance unit within the stipulated guidelines.
- Manage overall responsibility for risks.
- Monitor the branch’s performance.
- Ensure processes/ controls are in place & being adhered to, in order to protect all stakeholders’ interest.
- Conduct spot checks of all pertinent areas/items.
- Monitor the maintenance of branch operations related registers/ records.
- Monitor dispatch of maintenance forms/ correspondence to branches/departments.
- Review and action all relevant End of Day reports in accordance with guidelines.
- Verify out clearing to End of Day reports prior to dispatch.
- Verify that all outgoing items being dispatched are approved and recorded in the requisite registers.
- Monitor the daily imaging process of the relevant systems and machinery, ensuring batches are successfully transmitted.
- Ensure machinery/equipment are functional.
- Train, coach and mentor team members.
- Work with the Branch Operations team to manage workload, which includes assigning/ re-assigning team members based on client demands and traffic flow.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies, Accounting or Finance from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ working experience at the supervisory level in a commercial bank.
- Thorough knowledge of branch operations including teller operations, customer service, cash management.
- Knowledge of Central Bank rules and regulations governing commercial banking.
- Formal training in supervisory management.
- Proficiency in the use of computer software packages such as word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- People management skills.
