Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Corporate Banking team in the capacity of: Assistant Manager – Client Service Support
Location: Kingston
As an Assistant Manager – Client Service Support, you will:
Manage and lead the team in delivering a superior client experience by coaching and achieving a high level of operational effectiveness.
Champion client experience by proactively engaging and interacting with clients throughout the branch.
Lead activities to improve client loyalty results across the entire team.
Develop relationships with service partners to ensure efficient operation of the unit and optimal client satisfaction.
Provide ongoing coaching and development of the team, ensuring a high level of team member capability and engagement.
Monitor the timely processing of incoming client correspondence.
Monitor client feedback and escalate as required.
Conduct compliance monitoring according to operational guidelines.
Monitor and balance all reconcilable accounts/ ledgers.
Review and report to the compliance unit.
Monitor performance against profit & loss/ balance sheet.
Prepare month end reports for Group Finance and Group Human Resources.
Prepare Excess & Delinquency reports.
Conduct thorough analysis of internal clients’ queries, issues and requests ensuring these are managed and followed through to resolution.
Investigate operational requirements of all identified issues, seeking effective business solutions using methodical and consistent techniques.
Ensure processes/ controls are in place and being adhered to protect all stakeholders’ interest.
Report to internal units regarding malfunction of furniture and equipment and the maintenance of the corporate banking area.
Authorize and monitor stationery cost.
Monitor to ensure that the Client Service Representatives of both Corporate Banking & SME Business Banking teams are responding to all our clients’ queries.
Monitor dispatch of maintenance forms/ correspondence to branches/ departments.
Review and action all relevant end of day reports in accordance with guidelines.
Verify that all outgoing items being dispatched are approved and recorded in requisite register.
Ensure compliance with the bank’s policies.
Ensure all unauthorized system transactions are actioned.
Act as point of reference for new account opening and related documentation and authorizations.
Act as point of reference for our internal partners to resolve relevant issues.
Train, coach, and mentor team members for both Corporate and SME Business Banking teams.
Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
Minimum of five (5) years working experience at the supervisory level in a commercial bank.
Thorough knowledge of customer service and operations.
Knowledge of Central bank rules and regulations governing commercial banking.
Formal training in leadership would be an asset.
Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
Thorough knowledge of the bank’s policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communications skills.
Good time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
People management skills.
