ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Greet customers when they are entering the store.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
Check customer receipts at door.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Use walkie-talkies, pagers, and cell phones to stay in contact with security personnel.
Regulate and monitor building systems.
Assist in the closing of the store.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to performance of the essential functions above, this position may be required to perform a combination of other supportive functions, to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of Fontana Limited.

Other:

In order to properly service our clients, you may be required to work outside of our scheduled business hours.
Timely execution of duties in keeping with pre-arranged schedule.
Care and diligence in protecting the organization’s assets.

Job Requirement

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Working Environment / Physical Activities:

Considerable physical activity. May encounter long working hours.
Work is normally performed in a typical open environment.

perform the essential functions of this job.

EXPERIENCE; EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION

Must be certified and trained.
At least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Must be computer literate.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Demonstrated ability to assess situations and respond appropriately.
Ability to carry out instructions effectively.
Hands on experience of using and installing alarm systems.
Trained in physical combat and the use of arms.
Proven ability to work independently.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in an effective manner.
Ability to act with urgency in an emergency situation.
Long term interest in patrolling assigned areas.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate (verbal, listening, oral) and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
Must be detailed oriented and a multitasker with superb organizational skills
Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
Must have strong internal and external customer service skills
Willingness to demonstrate lateral service and support in a cooperative and pleasant manner for the overall good of the company.
