Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Insurance Operations Services – Claims team in the capacity of: Indexing Assistant (Contract)
- Utilize the imaging application in the capturing of data to facilitate the prompt adjudication of claims.
- Provide administrative support with special responsibilities for electronically submitted claims.
- Perform administrative functions in the department, especially as it relates to electronically submitted health claims.
- Index claims as the need arise, input data from claims forms to the indexing application.
- Utilize GIAS to correct, verify or complete the information required.
- Scan all the health claims indexed.
- Create barcodes, scan and forward for payment.
- Assist with document preparation, mail and queries, in the Claims Registry, as the need arises.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Minimum of a Diploma or Associate Degree in Business Studies, Management Studies or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of the LOMA/HIA 1 and 2 designations.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheets and word processing applications.
- Must possess extensive knowledge of the GIAS Application.
- Excellent keyboarding skills.
