Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Banking team in the capacity of: Card Operations Associate (Contract)
Location: Kingston
As a Card Operations Associate, you will:
- Responsible for actioning referrals received from the Branches, Contact Centre and Asset Recovery and Collections Unit, executing cancellations, managing rewards redemption requests and performing maintenances to cardholder records in the PRIME application.
- Adherence to strict internal custody controls, policies and procedures.
- Deliver efficient and effective client service to internal and external partners/clients, by adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with the primary goal of exceeding the satisfaction of the client.
- Process reversals of fees and transfer of balances.
- Perform maintenances such as address changes, DOB updates, cycle date changes and limit increases.
- Action client/branch queries and research requests ensuring that the appropriate action is taken in adherence with the established Bank standards.
- Action outstanding entries daily on reconciliation of GL/P&L ensuring that entries are correctly posted and cleared efficiently.
- Collaborate with and foster relationships with other Units/Departments by promptly communicating issues and concerns, ensuring that all discrepancies are handled in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality as it relates to customer accounts, transactions and the Bank’s internal operations.
- Action bonus redemptions in accordance with the established SLA standard.
- Reconciliation and posting of generated fees reconciliation, rejects and manual reconciliation.
- Provide monthly and periodic administrative reports to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Assist with implementation of Special Projects as necessary.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- An Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Studies, Finance or another related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Training in Credit Card Management for Issuers and Acquirers would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of the PRIME application would be an asset.
- Basic knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High level of motivation and excellent analytical skills.
- High degree of efficiency, and problem-solving skills.
