Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Innovation team in the capacity of: Product Designer
As a Product Designer, you will:
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team members to design the user interface and experience for various Sagicor Products.
- Assist in the development of large-scale digital innovation projects for consumer brands and enterprise clients.
- Connect design, business, and technology to ship world-class digital interfaces and experiences for Sagicor Group.
- Develop presentations, user interfaces and standards that meet existing and newly developed procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Usability Testing sessions, Design Sprints and Workshops for developing and ongoing products.
- Use findings from research to create user interfaces, as it relates to the best methods of implementation.
- Compile monthly informational report of patterns associated with user needs and design requirements.
- Perform other related job-duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience as a Product Designer or User Interface/ User Experience Designer.
- A very strong User Interface/ User Experience design portfolio.
- Experience using Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools.
- Experience in executing various user interface design patterns.
- Experience using design systems to build user interfaces.
- Experience designing mobile experiences.
- Quick problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise independent judgement.
- Strong people, process and User Interface abilities.
- Understanding of user interface design methods and design patterns, when to use them and how to apply them correctly.
- Ability to analyze existing digital products to identify opportunities for actionable improvements and execute these improvements with the UI/ UX design team.
