Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Marketing team in the capacity of:
Marketing Manager – Corporate Communications
Location: Kingston
 
 
As a Marketing Manager – Corporate Communications, you will:
  • Lead the organization’s communications team, develop and implement internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the corporate identity and mission of Sagicor Group Jamaica and its subsidiaries.
  • Manage all client communication touch points including website and social media channels and maintain positive media relations.
  • Ensure that the overall corporate image of Sagicor and its subsidiaries are always maintained. 
  • Develop and implement communication strategies and plans with accompanying budgets, to achieve objectives in keeping with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement public relations opportunities consistent with the Group’s products, services and clientele.
  • Plan, implement, manage and monitor the company’s social and digital marketing strategy in order to improve brand awareness.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of marketing programs.
  • Assist in formulating policies and procedures for the Marketing Unit to ensure the efficient operation of the team.
  • Develop and maintain excellent internal and external relationships with corporate partners (media, suppliers, agencies) and continuously evaluate these relationships to ensure fair value for the company.
  • Monitor local and international market trends and give recommendations where necessary.
  • Monitor the coverage of Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
  • Manage and motivate the Marketing Communications team, ensuring that requisite training and professional development plans are developed and executed.
  • Adhere to the company’s branding guidelines and contribute to the development of the Sagicor brands.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
 
What do you need?
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least five (5) years’ working experience in Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Experience in the financial services industry would be an asset.
  • Skilled in strategic planning and marketing.
  • Experience in creating social media strategies.
  • Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Understanding of media operations.
  • Competent in oral and written communication as it relates to media and public relations.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills for matters related to media relations and an appreciation of new media technologies.
  • Ability to create and deliver high impact social media campaigns.
  • Thorough understanding of the financial industry and regulatory environment.
  • Strong business thinker and negotiator.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheets, word processing, database management and graphics tools.
  • Valid Driver’s license and a reliable motor vehicle.
