The Management Division of the High Commission of Canada (Property Unit) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant full-time position of Maintenance Technician.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience in providing technical expertise and conduct maintenance
  • & repairs for an organization in the following focus areas (carpentry, masonry,welding and plumbing)
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Proficiency to supervise contractors and staff
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

LOCATION: Kingston, Jamaica

SALARY SCALE: 1,622,130.97 JMD per annum

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

Diploma/Certification from a recognized vocational training institute in a discipline relevant to the position, or an acceptable combination of education, relative training and experience.

ELIGIBILITY: Jamaican nationals or holders of a valid Jamaican work permit
