Description
The General Legal Council invites suitable candidates to submit their application for the position of ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
 
The scope of responsibilities Under the general direction of the Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for typing verbatim notes of meetings and hearings of the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council. The successful applicant will be required to work on Saturdays.
 
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Able to type a Q&A session (Trial Proceedings) in real time using a computer device. Speed typing required - minimum eighty (80) words per minute; 
  • Create official record of the proceedings;  Experience in the use of Microsoft applications; 
  • Able to operate word processing equipment to record, edit, store, revise, convert and print correspondence, reports and other materials utilizing clerical and computer skills and knowledge of word processing functions; 
  • Minimum requirements: CXC/A-Level/Cape passes in English Language, Computer Science and General Paper; 
  • A First Degree is preferable;
  • At least three (3) years working experience in secretarial duties.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software;
