Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Project Management team in the capacity of:
Lead – Test Automation Engineer
Location: Kingston
As a Lead – Test Automation Engineer, you will:
- Ensure quality is built into the development process through the creation and maintenance of test automation scripts to support both the Software Quality Assurance and the Testing teams.
- Create comprehensive test automation strategy for assigned projects outlining automation approach for Application Under Test (AUT).
- Prepare and deliver Test Automation artifacts within the stipulated timeframes.
- Analyze requirements and technical design documents for use cases/ user stories.
- Prepare Test Automation Strategy/ Plan.
- Lead Test Automation activities on Application Under Test (AUT) to establish effective and appropriate test scope.
- Actively participate in and conduct general training sessions and cross-functional training.
- Participate in the establishment and refinement of Test Automation Framework.
- Build test automation scripts for Application Under Test (AUT).
- Lead test automation efforts for software projects.
- Develop reusable automated tests that meets the specified automation criteria for the project.
- Develop reusable automated test scripts for new features based on acceptance criteria.
- Maintain and track enhancements to automated test scripts and other test artifacts, including test data and data verification.
- Perform impact analysis on the existing framework.
- Provide Supervision to consultants and members of the Software Quality Assurance Team.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a quality assurance testing function.
- At least 2 years’ working experience in Test Automation.
- Experience building and maintaining continuous integration with test automation frameworks.
- Experience writing, executing, and reporting on automated tests.
- Experience creating test automation strategies/ plans, test automation scripts and other test related documentation.
- Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or higher certification would be an asset.
- Experience in Software Development.
- Experience in the Financial Services sector would be an asset.
- Agile team experience would be an asset.
- Knowledge and understanding of Software Quality Assurance standards, methodologies and procedures.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Test Automation with ability to perform back-end data validation, interface operability verification, performance and load testing.
- Working knowledge of API development and testing.
- Working knowledge of software development lifecycles.
- Working knowledge of software quality concepts.
- Working knowledge of risk-based testing.
- High competency in Microsoft Office tools
