PRINCIPAL

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Administration or related field. Having a Master’s Degree and /or NCEL Certification would be an asset.
• Professional Certification in Teaching
• At least five (5) years supervisory experience at the secondary level

Required Competencies:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to promote high academic and personal expectations for all students and staff members
• Transformational leadership skills to meet the changing demands of the 21st century secondary learners
• Sound knowledge of curriculum development process
• Ability to adhere to stringent ethical and professional standards
• Strong disposition for strategic thinking, planning and implementation
• Maintain an attractive, organized, healthy, clean and safe facility that will enhance the learning experience
• Ability to manage discipline with special focus on the social and emotional needs of the students
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the laws, regulations and guidelines that govern educational institutions
• Knowledge of relevant labour laws, employment policies and procedures
• Ability to manage data for decision making
• Have sound knowledge of financial management
• Highly energetic and passionate about education and be success driven
