Courier Company that provides international and local shipping and delivery ‘ services is seeking an individual to fill the position of: Logistics Manager
Purpose:
The successful candidate is responsible for leading the organization in the development of strategic plans and the creation of new business opportunities for the company. The individual must be familiar with the industry and have extensive knowledge of trends, activities and players. The incumbent must add value and propel the organization into a world class provider of shipping and logistics services.
Duties and responsibilities includes:
- Review logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.
- Provide excellent customer service to potential and current customers.
- Ensures efficiency throughout the supply chain process, from order to delivery of products; identifies actual and potential delays, take action to resolve late delivery issues proactively.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations.
- Perform any other duties that may be required from time to time by the Chief Executive.
Qualifications and experience required:
- B.Sc. in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Five (5) years' experience in the shipping and logistics field is required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
