A Statutory Body invites applications for the position of Accounting Clerk
Job Summary
- Receive and record cash and card transactions
- Prepare bank lodgements
- Manage Petty Cash
- Reconcile daily sales
- Monitor and process online transactions
- Assist with audit preparations and schedules as assigned by Accountant
- Compile Journal entries as assigned
- Provide information to farmers and other customers
- Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Associate Degree in Accounting, ACCA Level 1, or any of its equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in the field of accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Sound knowledge of ACCPAC is an asset
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Possess integrity and respects confidentiality
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
