HR Specialist / Payroll Manager (Montego Bay)
(On-Site – Jamaica Office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process payroll for all Jamaica-based employees on a bi-weekly schedule
- Ensure compliance with Jamaican labor laws, tax, and payroll regulations
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Address HR-related queries and payroll discrepancies in a timely, respectful manner
- Maintain Daily performance tracking, attendance monitoring through TimeClock, and handle disciplinary procedures
- Collaborate with the U.S.-based management team to align processes and updates
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisor/management role with some experience with payroll administration (Jamaica-based experience required)
- Strong knowledge of Jamaica Ministry of Labor employment laws and payroll systems
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and HR software
- Positive attitude and resourceful problem-solving mindset
