HR Administrator and Safety Officer
REPORTS TO:
Human Resource Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides high level administrative support to the Human Resource Manager. The role is critical in the execution of all people initiatives, working in collaboration with the management to drive the HR Agenda. The incumbent will also be required to provide excellent internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Assists in the coordination, monitoring and effective execution of human resource activities inclusive of recruitment, compensation, employee/labor relations, staff welfare and benefits management,
- Responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety program
- Safety Management, advice, and reporting and engage staff in programs that ensure safe practice in the workplace
- Assist in the coordination and management of employee on-boarding processes
- Maintain currency of Staff database, job descriptions, records related to grievances, performance reviews and disciplinary actions
- Coordinate the administration of employee benefits program including group health, life and pension management
- Participates in industrial relations activities; negotiations,
- Assist in the coordination of Performance Management activities
- Assists in employee Training & Development
- Assists in the Coordination and management of all health and safety programs
- Conducts detailed research and prepares comprehensive analyses of salary and compensation packages on the market relevant to the company’s operations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent along with 3 - years experience in a similar capacity. Candidate must be highly customer focused, results oriented as well as have strong administrative skills and must be able to work well under pressure
- Sound knowledge of the principles, practices & standards of human resources
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Personal accountability
- Knowledge of Industrial Relations and practices is essential
SPECIAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB
- Exposure to highly confidential and sensitive information
- Maybe required to work beyond normal hours
- Must be able to travel islandwide to all plants to execute job functions
