ACCOUNTS CLERK
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Carrying out accounts payables and cash lodgmentduties in an accurate and timely manner
- Carry out bank, payables and inventories reconciliations
- Work in an automated accounting environment (QuickBooks experience would be an asset);
- Ensure invoices are prepared, posted and paid on a timely basis
- Track credit notes with vendors until received
- File all documents in an orderly and easily retrievable manner
- Verify each payment to be processed by reviewing all related approved/ authentic documents, purchase orders, goods receival and/or delivery notes, invoices, debit notes, credit notes and ensure any adjustment to invoices are accurately calculated before payment;
- Timely investigating and reporting on anomalies
Education, Competencies& Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 GCE O’ LEVEL/CXC/CAPE including Mathematics, English and any accounting subjects
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, with great attention to detail.
- High level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Required to work on some Saturdays
- Respond professionally to all vendor enquiries regarding payments.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and modern practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to develop professional business correspondence
- Good time management, decision-making, and organizational skills
