Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Marketing Services (EBD) team in the capacity of: Employee Benefits Sales Advisor (Contract)
- Sell and market the Company’s Employee Benefits products to new and existing clients and maintain at least 95% conservation of the portfolio.
- Promote the sale of Employee Benefits products.
- Negotiate contract renewals.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by establishing credibility and providing value-added service.
- Provide periodic Claims Utilization analyses and recommend appropriate action to ensure viability. Conduct claims utilization educational sessions.
- Assist in the collection of outstanding premiums.
- Assist in strategic planning for the department by providing marketing intelligence on the Company’s competitors.
- Assist the department head in identifying and making preliminary reports on perceived cases of fraud.
- Prepare monthly productivity reports for submission to the Director of Sales.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Two (2) years’ working experience in Sales, one (1) year of which must be in the insurance industry.
- Excellent time-management, human relations and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of the Group Insurance business.
- Ability to work on own initiative given appropriate guidelines and objectives.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheets and word processing applications.
- Ability to negotiate with clients and Underwriting regarding rates and benefits.
- Ownership of a reliable motor car.
